Printing

Your Logo offer a range of hot press vinyl and digital transfer printing processes.

Vinyl printing

With any complex process we start with a review of what is required, consider the options and create a plan that we know will successfully decorate the garments in the most cost effective way possible.  We calculate the optimum size and best use of the space and which material to use.

The options are many and varied from plain block colour vinyl to reflective or even higly sparkly/glittery. With an agreed layout and the correct material selected we use our specialist software to prepare a design file that we use to work with our cutters.  This is a highly accurate process with miniscule tolerances and a key part of producing an excellent finished product.

We remove the surplus material in a process called weeding and then use one of our presses with an appropriate sized platen to activate the adhesive. This applies the design to the garment and we ensure that the result is an outstanding representation of your design.

Digital transfer printing

This involves taking a high resolution image and printing the image onto quality transfer paper.

We can print images in most formats including PDF, EPS, PSD and JPG but the quality of the image produced is directly related to the quality of the image supplied, so it is important to supply a high resolution image. Once the image is on the transfer paper it is then taken and applied using a heat press to the item of clothing.

A digital transfer is a way of producing full colour designs, which are too complex to be vinyl printed, for application onto garments via a heat process and is ideal for full colour photos or image prints on to garments made of smooth, non ribbed cotton or/and polyester.

The required image is printed onto white transfer paper. This is then cut out with a cutter, which is a machine that cuts through paper following an outline drawn in a programme. The transfer paper is then placed onto the object. The correct amount of heat &  pressure is then applied. This is a precise process which ensures there is no damage to the surface of the product. The image then adheres permanently to the object.

Transfer print is not as durable as vinyl print and embroidery.
